Learners going from L to P

Your instructor
I teach driving one-to-one in Adelaide’s north-eastern suburbs, automatic driving lessons and manual lessons in your own car. It’s just me, so the person you speak to on the phone is the person who picks you up for every lesson.
A lot of learners arrive nervous, and that’s fine. We start on quiet streets, go at your pace, and build up from there. My goal is to help you feel calm, confident, and test-ready without the stress.
I’m not just here to help you pass your driving test. I want you to be able to drive on your own — somewhere you have never been, a year from now.
I taught my nephew to drive, and then my daughter. I expected to find it stressful. I found the opposite: I liked it, I was good at being patient through the parts that take a few goes, and I came away thinking this is what I should be doing.
I am a mother of two. Before this I ran a small business of my own and looked after the paperwork side of a family business, so I know what it is to be responsible for how something turns out. Teaching driving is a deliberate career change, not something I fell into.
The practical upshot for you is that I am not working through a roster of students between other jobs. This is the job, and I teach the way I taught my own daughter.
Personalised, patient and practical. Lessons are designed around the learner in front of me rather than around a script, and we go at the pace that is actually working.
The aim is confidence, independence and real-world driving skill, not just a pass. Along the way you get local knowledge of the north-east, help with your South Australian logbook requirements, and proper preparation for the test.
Not everyone learning to drive is seventeen. Lessons cost the same whichever of these you are, but they concentrate on different things, so say which one applies when you call.

If you hold a licence from another country or another state and have to sit a practical driving assessment here, lessons focus on South Australian road rules and on what the assessor actually marks.
If you have been asked to sit a practical assessment because of a medical condition, lessons are built around that assessment rather than around learning to drive from scratch.
Licensed, but off the road for a while and not comfortable getting back in? Refresher lessons rebuild confidence at whatever pace suits you, with no test at the end of it unless you want one.
Plenty of people searching for driving lessons are specifically looking for a female instructor. For some learners it is simply more comfortable to sit beside a woman for an hour at a time. For some parents it is the thing that decides who teaches their teenager. Others are returning to driving after a break, or after a crash, and would rather start with someone they feel at ease with.
If that is what you are looking for, you have found it. Every lesson is with me, in person, start to finish. There is no pool of instructors and no substitutes.

Tell Stacey where you are, whether you want automatic or manual, and how you’re feeling about driving so far.
Quiet streets first. You set the pace; nothing is rushed on day one.
Lessons follow what you need to work on, so you walk into the test knowing what to expect.
